Wicked Mother abandoned her Newborn baby inside uncompleted building in Edo

Babies are known to be one of the fruitfulness of marriage, many marriages today have shattered due to the woman not being able to conceive and bear children, it’s no longer a news that babies are blessing from God, while many women are praying and spending huge amount of money seeking for babies,

Babies are known to be one of the fruitfulness of marriage, many marriages today have shattered due to the woman not being able to conceive and bear children, it’s no longer a news that babies are blessing from God, while many women are praying and spending huge amount of money seeking for babies, others are busy either throwing theirs away nor killing them through abortion and other ways.

Why would a woman go through the pains and enjoyments of pregnancy, only to be delivered after Nine (9) months still go ahead to abandon/throw away the child? Wicked act indeed.

Such wicked was carried out in Benin the capital city of Edo State as a new born God given baby girl was abandon in an uncompleted building located on winner’s road by sapele road, Benin City, wrapped in a blue blanket. The baby was rescued by a Good Samaritan, Arnold Efeoghene, who was moved to tears at the sight of the baby, he took photos of the baby and posted on his facebook wall.

According to him in his write up, “"Some people are really wicked. I found this baby in an uncompleted building this morning, by Winners Road, Benin City. But thank God she is alive and she is being taken care of."

This is not the first time newborn babies have been abandoned by their mothers while many women have been praying for a fruit of the womb, some even spending millions of Naira looking to the fruits of the womb.

When such mothers are caught, many of them blame the harsh economic situation in the country as the reason for their actions while others claim to have been abandoned by the men who got them pregnant.

The question still remains, why would you as a woman allow unwanted pregnancy when not fully ready of being a mother?

It’s time the government look into this and pass a penalty into law for such actions. Any woman caught in this act should be made to face a punishable sentence.

Any woman who knows she’s not ready to cater nor be a responsible mother of a child, should desist from any intercourse that could lead to unwanted pregnancy or better still go through a protection mode.
